Wintry conditions in the Cairngorms #winterskills #winterclimbing #wintermountaineering

4th March 2019

It's been great to see snow building on the mountains again. After a warm February it felt as though it was all over, but it's remarkable how quicly it can start to improve.

Over the weekend we had lots of people on winter skills courses (28no!) as well as a winter climbing duo out. When conditions are lean but it's a wintry forecast, delivering good quality winter training courses is challenging. Having a strong team like we do, is essential.

The forecats continues to be cold and snowy. We have limited availability on our advanced winter skills, intro ski touring and winter walking weeks. Please get in touch if you would like to join us.

Winter courses

I just wanted to say a massive thank you. Rory was incredible! The most wonderful guide who gave us not only a brilliant weekend, but so much information and support. I was expecting a good weekend, but I wasn’t expecting it to be this good! Alongside that, all your support with our delayed flight was massively appreciated. Thank you again.
