Morven & Lochnagar
16th May 2012
The last couple of days have been spent in Royal Deeside working for Northern Xposure. Yesterday the Northern Xposure school group went up Morven where they practiced some navigation and enjoyed fantastic views of the wintery looking Cairngorms. Today the team did exceptionally well putting their navigation into practice and climbing a wintery Lochnagar in good spirits. There was a cold northerly wind blowing in snow and hail showers all day, but the team did well to battle on!

Aonach Eagach Ridge, Glen Coe. Scrambling.
5th May 2012
We had a brilliant day yesterday traversing the Aonach Eagach in Glen Coe, which is a great ridge with lots of exciting scrambling and some good exposure. When we arrived in Glen Coe there were light snow flurries, but by mid morning and for the rest of the day there was bright sunshine and great views to be had in almost every direction.
Cairngorm Adventure Guides run guided hill walking, scrambling and hill skills courses. If you'd like to learn some new skills or be guided along a classic ridge like the Aonach Eagach please get in touch.

Wintery Cairngorms
16th April 2012
The Cairngorms looked spectacular and very wintery today. It was hard going once off the paths as the snow is unconsolodated and very deep in places, and on the Fiachall Ridge it was case of hopping between to rocks to avoid being knee deep in snow. There were a couple of people climbing in the corrie, quite a few ski tracks around twin burns, the goat track and off of Cairngorm as well as people out paraponting.

River Feshie, Kayaking
14th April 2012
We had a quick blast down the river Feshie this afternoon. It was good fun, despite being at a relatively low level and the regular snow showers! There is definitely more snow on the hills just now than there has been for the last month or so, but our has focus has turned to spring and summer, unless of course anyone is looking for any winter skills........
We are also putting together a supported 7 day mountain biking coast to coast package. More details to follow soon.

From Inside to Out, Climbing Course
2nd April 2012
Today Euan was out with us on a From Inside to Out Climbing Course. Euan has lots of indoor climbing experience and is looking to build upon his skill set so that he can start climbing outside. We visited Kingussie Crag which is an ideal venue with a variety of climbs and a range of grades. It was almost quite warm this afternoon, but snow is forecast so it could all look different tomorrow.
