Winter arrives just in time #winterskills #winterclimbing #skitouring

On days like today it's easy to forget how lean and challenging winter has been, perhaps we only remember what we want to!

We've had lots of happy customers out on winter training courses this month. Everyone understands how difficult the conditons have been, but are very happy when their course exceeds thier expectations.

Having an experienced and excellent team is key to this.

Today we had teams out climbing and walking, and we managed an afternoon ski in Lurchers Gully. It's always worth sticking with winter becuase when it gets good in Scotland, it gets very good.

Winter courses

I would definitely recommend using them for navigation skills. I booked A1 day course. Communication with Dave before the course was good as well.. Dave or guide was very friendly and welcoming and made us feel at ease. Explaining what was going to happen in the day and asked us too what we would like to get out of the course. Dave was great at explaining and giving instruction and I actually surprised myself that I manahed to correctly follow them too. . When I'm ready to go in to the next level of navigation. Cairngorm Adventure Guides will be my first go to to find a course. A great day and I don't feel so useless at using a map and compass now. Woo hoo!
