Winter Skills - 15th Dec

15th December 2017

Beginning of our winter courses

Today was the start of our 2017/18 winter programme and it was great to have Mark & team out in proper Scottish conditions; poor visibility, freezing cold and hard work in the deep snow!

The team made their way into the flat ice in Coire an-t Sneachda.

More of the same tomorrow for Mark and team, as well as our various other groups who are out.

Winter courses

I would definitely recommend using them for navigation skills. I booked A1 day course. Communication with Dave before the course was good as well.. Dave or guide was very friendly and welcoming and made us feel at ease. Explaining what was going to happen in the day and asked us too what we would like to get out of the course. Dave was great at explaining and giving instruction and I actually surprised myself that I manahed to correctly follow them too. . When I'm ready to go in to the next level of navigation. Cairngorm Adventure Guides will be my first go to to find a course. A great day and I don't feel so useless at using a map and compass now. Woo hoo!
