Ridge scrambling is a great way to ascend a mountain and is something between walking and climbing, where a rope can be used and you need a good head for heights.
Our Classic Ridges, all inclusive* 5 day adventure holiday is a great way to explore the mountains and to develop scrambling skills.
Scotland's mountains are full of exciting ridges like the Aonach Eagach, Curved Ridge, Tower Ridge, Angels Ridge and the Laithach and An Teallach Pinnacles which all offer a different way to experience and enjoy the mountains.
Your qualified guide will keep you safe and teach you the simple rock climbing techniques that are required to move on ridges, and as your confidence grows so can the challenges of the scrambling routes.
We believe in having a flexible approach for this course and to go where the weather is best, however it is very likely three of the days and two evenings will be spent on the west coast around Glen Coe and your first and two other evenings will be spent in Aviemore where there is good access to the Cairngorms and the North West.
No scrambling or rock climbing experience is required but a good level of fitness and some summer hill walking experience will give you a more enjoyable holiday experince.
You'll be led up these mountains by a qualified guide and you'll be staying in excellent, local guest houses where you can relax in comfort after a rewarding day on the mountains.
As these holidays run with only small numbers you can be sure you'll have a quality experience with your guide for the experience to be tailered around you.
Costs are based on two people sharing, single supplement is available.
If this sounds like the holiday for you or if you have any questions, please get in touch.
