Almost the end of winter #winterskills #wintermountaineering #winterclimbing #backcountryskiing

13th March 2022

And like that, it's almost over. Well not quite.

Our winter courses wrap up at the end of the month but there'll still be plenty of winter to go at during April.

What started off quite promising during December then became a very warm and not-very-wintery during January. Then as we'd hoped, it picked up during February and started to feel a bit more normal. However, it has been really, really windy since then and not quite as cold as normal, which has made for challenging conditions at times.

Being able to deliver courses when conditions are challenging is only possible becuase of our the knowledge and experinece of our great team.

Thanks to everyone who's been on our cousres so far and thanks for the positive feedback.

Let's hope for some great late season conditions!

Winter courses

Johnny was our guide for the day and his positive attitude made our learning experience fun despite the brutal Scottish winter conditions. He took time to understand what we wanted and tailored the course to meet our requirements - all in all, a great first introduction into winter mountaineering - makes me want to get out into the mountains again!
