Our Introduction to Scottish Winter Mountaineering and Climbing course suits those who have winter walking experience, and who want to climb Scottish winter routes safely and independently.

These courses run with 2 clients to 1 instructor. The small ratio allows the course to be tailored to your winter climbing aspirations. We can focus on more mountaineering type routes or harder climbing depending on your needs.

On this course you will learn to climb winter routes using two technical axes, by climbing in pitches, building anchors and belaying.

We believe the best way to winter climb safely is by having the experience to make good decisions. On our courses you'll do as much climbing as possible to build your confidence.

These courses run with a ratio of 1:2. If you would prefer a 1:1 ratio or bespoke dates, the cost is £350.00 per day.
