Happy new year #winterskills #wintermountaineering #skitouring

3rd January 2020

Happy new year, it's definitely time for us to burn off some of the festive excesses!

Having excellent conditions in December and up to Christmas it all turned a bit warm a few days ago, which has had a big impact on the snowpack. Although things have turned colder and the remiaing snow is really firm, we could now do with a few big winter storms. Fingers crossed for some cold weather over the next 10 days.

We've managed to make the most of the limited conditions and have a ski touring and three winter skills teams out. If you know where to go, there's still good training to be had.

We're almost at capacity for winter but have a few places on winter skills and ski touring courses. If you fancy joining us please get in touch.

Winter courses

Back again after first 2 day bespoke winter skills course last year, to build on that time. Once again just excellent, friendly, flexible day. Jon our instructor was top-notch and completely got what we wanted to get out of this day, pushing us too but not too far! That takes a lot of experience and skill and we're so grateful The second day we were on our own which was great too- some errors but we learnt alot. We're looking to return next year to do a 5 day winter mountaineering/climbing course! Seriously can't wait for next year!!!
