Happy new year #winterskills #wintermountaineering #skitouring

3rd January 2020

Happy new year, it's definitely time for us to burn off some of the festive excesses!

Having excellent conditions in December and up to Christmas it all turned a bit warm a few days ago, which has had a big impact on the snowpack. Although things have turned colder and the remiaing snow is really firm, we could now do with a few big winter storms. Fingers crossed for some cold weather over the next 10 days.

We've managed to make the most of the limited conditions and have a ski touring and three winter skills teams out. If you know where to go, there's still good training to be had.

We're almost at capacity for winter but have a few places on winter skills and ski touring courses. If you fancy joining us please get in touch.

Winter courses

Great day Me and friends had a winter mountaineering skills day with Matt & Graham. There knowledge in the area was fantastic. Teaching us the safety we needed whilst being in the mountains in a practical and theoretical setting, being able to implement when out in the mountains. Personally, with having a physical disability, I found that they were great. Letting me develop my skills individually whilst supporting me at the right time. Overall, great safe day out in the mountains with some excellent guides.
