Happy new year #winterskills #wintermountaineering #skitouring

3rd January 2020

Happy new year, it's definitely time for us to burn off some of the festive excesses!

Having excellent conditions in December and up to Christmas it all turned a bit warm a few days ago, which has had a big impact on the snowpack. Although things have turned colder and the remiaing snow is really firm, we could now do with a few big winter storms. Fingers crossed for some cold weather over the next 10 days.

We've managed to make the most of the limited conditions and have a ski touring and three winter skills teams out. If you know where to go, there's still good training to be had.

We're almost at capacity for winter but have a few places on winter skills and ski touring courses. If you fancy joining us please get in touch.

Cairngorm Adventure Guides 2 day Winter Mountaineering Intro One of the most rewarding weekends I have had in the hills. The guy's were knowledgeable.. calm.. and controlled through all the types of weather the Cairngorm mountain threw at us. Learnt a lot, at a controlled pace... I.e. no information dump... I left feeling more confident about getting out on the hills... and getting of them in bad weather if need be. I'll use these guy's again no problem. Enjoy.
