The aim of our Classic Climbs week is to enjoy some of Scotland's finest winter routes. The itinerary is very flexible as we will climb where conditions are best, which will see ascents of routes between the grades of two and four throughout the country.
Aviemore is ideally located for travelling to Lochnagar for routes like Raeburns Gully, Aonach Mor to climb Golden Oldie, Ben Nevis for Tower Ridge, Glen Coe to enjoy Stob Corrie Nan Lochan and its routes, and for days trips out to the North West highlands to traverse or climb on An Teallach and Liathach. We also have the Cairngorms on our door step which offer lots and lots of excellent quality routes too.
Your guide will discuss the options and together you will form a great week. There may be routes you've always wanted to climb, routes currently in conditions that are too good to miss or the weather might just be amazing in another part of the country. Whatever the motivation, the climbing and experience should be awesome
This course suits an individual or climbing pair with previous winter climbing experience of seconding up to grade four. Although some coaching will be given this is not a skills development course and, for your enjoyment, you'll be familiar with how to winter climb as a second.
The cost of this five day course is £1,280.00 which includes a qualified and experienced guide and all technical equipment. Complimentary transport is also provided. Accommodation, lunch and personal equipment is not included, however we can recommend good places to stay and eat.
