Our guided winter walking holiday week allows you to enjoy Scotland's snow capped mountain paradise. A flexible itinerary means we'll go where the weather and conditions are best, aiming to climb at least one Munro per day. You'll relax and soak up the invigorating mountain environment as your guide navigates and leads you safely through the mountains. Be prepared for stunning views and life-affirming natural landscapes!
You'll learn basic winter skills en route that allow you to move safely, and there will be opportunities to expand this learning if you are interested.
Your guide will discuss options at the beginning of the course and together you'll create a great itinerary. Winter hillwalking is always affected by weather and avalanche conditions so it's important to retain flexibility, as well as catering to group requirements.
No previous experience is required to enjoy this week, but a reasonable level of fitness and the ability to walk for six to eight hours a day is desirable.
The cost is £415.00 per person which includes a qualified and experienced guide, crampons, ice axe and helmet use. Complimentary transport is provided. Accommodation, food and personal walking equipment are not included, but we can recommend good places to stay and eat, and will send you an equipment list.
The course will be based in Aviemore in the Cairngorms National Park.
